Decovive publishes ideas and guides in Home Decor, Garden & Outdoor and Creative DIY Projects. Collections offer design inspiration and tips for adapting an idea. A making guide or template explains one particular example; it is not a complete specification for every design in a collection.
Measure your available space and plan the project around its intended use. Changing dimensions, materials or connections can change its balance, strength and maintenance needs. Prices, times and measurements in a guide are estimates for the example shown; prices include the date they were checked and can change after that.
Follow the current instructions for the tools, adhesives, paints, finishes and fixings you use. Make sure an adult supervises children's activities. Electrical work, structural changes, water installations and other specialist tasks may require qualified help and local approvals. General ideas on this website do not replace professional advice for your own project.
